Worst Nightmare Realized

It all started with a faint tremor down my spine. I tried to rationalize it, but the feeling only intensified. A sense of impending doom, like a creeping shadow, began to suffocate me. I knew in my gut, with an unshakeable conviction, that something was terribly wrong. An icy terror gripped me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that this was more than just a bad dream.
